Program Code: AAS.MUSICTECH
This program provides experience and skills in the specialized field of Music and Audio Technology that are necessary for the pursuit of a career as an Audio Engineer or Music Producer. The program builds upon the foundation of the Music Technology Certificate while also preparing students for an industry job hunt or further higher education pursuit.

Program Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this program, students should be able to:
- complete recording projects illustrating advanced competence in professional audio recording techniques/technologies and the ability to complete the production process using appropriate software/hardware;
- complete recording projects that include elements of music and audio in a digital format, including MIDI, sound sampling, synthesis, processing, editing, mixing, and display advanced competence and confidence in the use of associated software/hardware appropriate for these tasks in a professional setting;
- produce a portfolio of production, recording, and mixing projects that demonstrate advanced preparedness for entry into a career related to music technology, and articulate with advanced competency and demonstration how this portfolio connects and relates to professional opportunities in that field;
- critically analyze and discuss with advanced competence and vocabulary multimedia works (their own or others) in the context of music history, theory, and industry trends;
- demonstrate an awareness of ethical, legal, and business considerations involved when creating audio works, including advanced professional skills and understanding related to documentation and rights licensing for copyright, fair use, etc.
- produce, mix, edit, and treat audio for current media paradigms such as television, movies, video games, podcasts, social media platforms, etc.
